The easiest way to reach Mallorca is by plane, with Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) as your final destination. We recommend flying from any major U.S. airport to Madrid (MAD), Barcelona (BCN), or London (LHR) and then booking a connecting flight to Palma. Other European hubs also offer convenient connections, so choose the route that works best for you! If your schedule allows, we encourage spending a day or two in Madrid, Barcelona, or London to break up the trip and enjoy incredible architecture, sightseeing, and nightlife along the way.
Travel Requirements
Please note that visitors to England—and soon other European countries—will need an ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) Visa. For the United Kingdom, the ETA costs approximately $12, is valid for two years, and must be applied for before travel. Processing takes about 3-7 business days. The easiest way to apply is through the app: Apply for an ETA to come to the UK - GOV.UK.
Flights from London
For guests traveling from London, EasyJet offers affordable round-trip flights from both London Gatwick and Luton airports, making it a convenient and budget-friendly option.
Getting to Your Destination on the Island
Once you arrive at PMI, the easiest way to get to your destination—whether in Palma or elsewhere on the island—is by taxi. A taxi queue is located just outside the airport. If there’s a line, don’t worry—it moves efficiently, and you’ll be on your way in no time.
Ultimately, we recommend planning the travel itinerary that works best for you. We can’t wait to celebrate with you on the island!
A rental car is not always necessary, as taxis are readily available throughout Mallorca. If you’re staying at a hotel, they can usually arrange local taxis or transfers for you. For those who prefer to pre-book transportation, here are a few private transfer companies we recommend:
• Mallorca Groups
Website: mallorcagroups.com
Phone: +34 619 266 976 (available on WhatsApp)
• Mallorca Private Transfers
Website: mallorcaprivate.com
Phone: +34 647 092 712
For more adventurous guests looking to explore the island at their own pace, renting a car is highly recommended. If you’re not comfortable driving in Mallorca, consider booking a guided tour through Viator for a stress-free way to see the sights.
• Vanrell – Car Rental
A trusted option for car rentals on the island.
• Uber
In Mallorca, Uber operates differently—it connects you to local taxis and primarily serves Palma and nearby areas.
Wedding Day Transportation
Transportation will be provided to and from the wedding venue, as finding a taxi late at night in the venue’s location can be extremely challenging.
Ultimately, whether you choose taxis, private transfers, or a rental car, you’ll have plenty of options to get around the island. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
We have recommended a few hotels between Illetas and Old Town Palma for guests to stay during the wedding festivities. These all come highly recommended and are at varying budgets depending on your personal preferences!
During the wedding events we recommend staying between these two areas:
Illetas is where our welcome party is located. This area is best if you are looking to spend time overlooking the sea, admiring the stunning coastline of Mallorca and relaxing at the beach or pool in between the wedding events. It is just a short car ride to Palma when you do want to explore, and only 20 minutes from the airport.
Old Town Palma and the Palma City Center is full of rich history, cobble stone streets to explore, restaurants and shopping. This area is great if you prefer walking and sightseeing.
We plan on staying in Mallorca from Saturday the 14th to Saturday the 21st. After the wedding, we will be changing locations to another spot on the Island. We highly recommend exploring other parts of the Island such as, Soller, Deia, Andratx, Santanyi, and Alcudia. Or if you prefer to stay in one place, both areas recommended are great options for a home base. If you rent a car, you can take day trips pretty much anywhere on the island.
Feel free to reach out to us with any suggestions or questions as we have done extensive research!
The Bride and Groom will be staying at Nixe Palace Hotel from Saturday, June 14th, to Wednesday, June 18th, and we hope you’ll join us poolside!
Nixe Palace is a luxurious 5-star hotel with direct beach access, located just 20 minutes from the airport and 10-15 minutes from Palma and Old Town Palma. Here, you can explore historic sites and enjoy a variety of restaurants. The hotel offers convenient services, including calling taxis for guests, and there’s a bus stop (Mirador Cala Major) right outside.
Nixe Palace is also:
• 10 minutes from Puerto Portals, a beautiful harbor with excellent dining options.
• 8 minutes from Balneario Illetas, our Welcome Party venue.
Wedding Day Transportation
Transportation to and from the wedding venue, Finca Son Togores, will be exclusively provided from Nixe Palace Hotel. While you’re welcome to choose accommodations that suit you best, please arrange transportation to and from Nixe Palace to catch the wedding day shuttles.
Special Discount for Nixe Palace
